| This is the home of the Dame Elizabeth Couchman Lecture Trust. The trust was created in 1997 by a group of women in Victoria, Australia. Our aim is to hold an annual lecture which promotes the important role women have in public life.

| The Trust is named after one of Australia's leading woman political pioneers. Elizabeth Couchman was active in domestic and international affairs for most of her adult life and was appointed Dame of the British Empire in 1961.
